Pineapple Matcha Rise ‘N Shine Smoothie

I’ve discovered my new smoothie obsession, featured on the Food Revolution Docuseries. Sweet pineapple mixed with energizing antioxidant rich matcha and nutrient packed spinach, makes for a delicious anti-inflammatory breakfast after my morning run.

Here’s the recipe for 2. I halved the recipe to make a single serving in my Ninja blender and used organic frozen fruit and spinach, omitting the ice.

Ingredients:

2 large bananas

1 1/2 cups chopped pineapple

2 handfuls organic spinach

1 cup plant-based milk unsweetened (I used coconut cashew milk)

2 tsp pure matcha powder (I used Japanese organic spiced matcha)

2 handfuls ice (no need for ice if you are using frozen fruit)

Since I used frozen fruit, there was no need to add ice.
